Requirements for listing a vehicle as a Commercial Host

All Commercial Host vehicles must have a clean (e.g. not a “branded” or “salvage”) title if applicable. In some countries, this may be referred to as not being “written off.” They must meet all legal requirements of the country in which they’re located. Since their vehicles aren’t covered through Turo, Commercial Hosts aren’t subject to the value limitation for their listings. Learn more about being a Commercial Host

Commercial Hosts can switch to a Turo vehicle protection plan. If they do, their vehicles must meet Turo’s requirements in the country in which they’re listed at the time they select Turo’s protection. They must do so to be eligible for coverage.

*Turo provides coverage for the actual cash value (ACV) of the car, up to a limit of US$125,000 in the US, CA$75,000 in British Columbia, CA$105,000 in Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec, and £75,000 in the UK. Turo uses a third-party vehicle valuation vendor in determining the Total Market Value of vehicles listed on our platformYou can read more about our vehicle coverage limits

** Cars that have more than 130,000 mi/200,000 km may remain listed as long as they’re in excellent condition and don’t have a branded title. They must also continue to meet all legal, safety, and mechanical standards.

*** You’re responsible for knowing your vehicle’s title history before listing. If you don’t, get a vehicle history report (in North America use Carfax) before listing on Turo.
